Electro-Chemical Power Supplies

The broad nature of the CogniSim unique control architecture and methodology is not just limited to motor control applications. It has broad power management applications including those related to electrochemical systems such as  electrolysis cells and fuel cells.

 

 

Zetacon has experience in designing power supplies for emerging market applications such as hydrogen generation systems. The above 10KW system was developed and configured for a hydrogen generation application.

Electro-Chemical Cell Control

Complex behavior of electrolysis cells (hydrogen generation), and fuel cells (hydrogen utilization), can be brought under control with CogniSim's advanced switching array management capability.

Fuel cell and electrolysis cell stacks encounter troublesome behavior when driven close to their limits that can negatively impact cell stack reliability and output. A common practice in dealing with this issue today is to over-size the cell geometry, and or operate the cells less aggressively.

The application of CogniSim to effectively manage cell stack dynamics to minimize these issues is a current Zetacon development program.
